What is  IAAF Run 24:1?

 It’s a series of 24 one-mile runs contested around the world on 2 June celebrating the spirit of Global Running Day.

Partnering with sports ministries, city governments, race organisers and member federations around the world, this initiative by the IAAF, the sport’s global governing body, incorporates races held in two dozen cities across 24 countries on six continents to create a worldwide celebration of running.

More than 12,000 runners participated in the inaugural IAAF Run 24:1 in 2018, taking to the streets in 24 cities across 15 time zones

Promotions for IAAF 24:1

Indian Territorial Army & the Athletics Federation of India have partnered together to organize the first ever official National Marathon of India starting from the year 2018 onwards. This Marathon will be named as Territorial Army & Athletics Federation of India Run (TAAFI RUN). The marathon will be organized on 02 October every year as part of the raising day celebrations of the Indian Territorial Army (an integral part of the Indian Army) and which is also called as the Citizens’ Army.
